1: 18NiCrMo5 steel introduction
18NiCrMo5 is a steel with good mechanical properties, suitable for carburizing heat treatment. In fact, it is the most famous and used steel in Italy among special case-hardened steels. Medium high hardenability and good machinability. It is available in the form of rolled bars, peeled or drawn bars and forged bars. 18NiCrMo5 steel is generally used in the quenched and tempered condition or carburized and quenched condition.
